The lives of both drivers in a two–vehicle collision Friday morning were saved by wearing seatbelts.
According to information from the Iowa State Patrol, Nikolas Morrow, 29, of Fort Dodge was eastbound on County Road E-57(290th St) driving a 2009 GMC Sierra. He failed to stop at the intersection with Highway 25 and was struck on the driver’s side by Kevin Wilson, 42, of Lake City. Wilson was driving a 2016 Ford F150 pickup truck.
Both vehicles came to rest in the east ditch.
Morrow and Wilson were transported to Greene County Medical Center by Greene County Ambulance. The trooper’s report indicates their lives were saved by their seatbelts.
The Greene County sheriff’s office and fire departments from Scranton and Bayard assisted at the scene.
